FAQs

How do we get started with a custom urn?

You can provide us with photographs, ideas, and sketches to give us an idea of your or your loved one’s legacy. You can also talk us through whatever your design vision is. We’ll collect that information and create a three-dimensional digital design that we will share with you to start collaborating.

Can you make anything?

The short answer: absolutely. We can make our pieces look like literally anything you want. If you can imagine it, we can make it.

How much does this cost?

Our custom urns are individually quoted. Feel free to reach out, and we will provide you with an exact quote for the piece that you are considering. In a nutshell, there are a couple of variables involved, including size and geometry. We can also make smaller versions of our urns at a significantly lower price.

The cost of our curated urns are listed on the website.

How long will a project take?

Each project involves two realms: design and manufacturing. On the design side for custom urns, the time varies. The best way to put it: it will take as long as needed for the piece to be perfect. This is a very collaborative process, and we’ll continue to communicate with you until you are happy with the design. Once you have approved a final version, it takes about two to three weeks for us to deliver a finished product to you.

Our curated urns are pre-designed, so the time to process is much shorter, with factors such as inscription type and inventory availability affecting the time it takes to reach you.

What are the urns made of?

Our custom urns are essentially made out of a ceramic material. The final piece is going to feel like a glazed ceramic that you’re very familiar with—it’s just going to be a lot more detailed. Our 3D printing process allows us to capture incredible, nearly photo-realistic detail, so they are going to have the same look, durability, and feel of a ceramic piece.

For our curated urns, there are more options for materials, ranging from acacia wood to copper to hand-plated ceramic. You can find more details on our Curated Urns page.

What can customers expect throughout the design process?

The first thing you’ll see from us is a rendering that reflects the copious collaboration and thought that has gone into the design. This will allow you to react to it, suggest changes, or simply say, “Yup, it’s perfect.” We’ll continue working with you until you are completely satisfied with the design.

How can I plan ahead?

So you’re planning ahead? Congratulations! You’re giving a great gift to your family and relieving them of a burden during a time of mourning. What you’re doing is very important, so we’re glad that you’re here.

Feel free to give us a call, we love to talk to people who are planning ahead. We would be happy to come up with design concepts for you and help you find a meaningful expression of your legacy.
